Hey Folks, I hope you are aware about a brand-new Scheme called “Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan” introduced by the Assam government. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to young individuals, Creating Entrepreneur-Oriented Ecosystem, fostering self-reliance, Generating Employment opportunities and economic independence among the residents of Assam. This Scheme started on 23 September 2023 and will end on 31 October 2023.

About Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan
The Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan Scheme seeks to address the unemployment problem and promote inclusive progress in the state. The government is making a huge step toward creating a more independent and prosperous Assam by giving the youth possibilities for self-employment and by enlisting the help of numerous stakeholders. The Mission seeks to encourage self-income opportunities by promoting micro-entrepreneur youths of BPL Families and Low-Income households. Individuals can avail this Scheme from 23rd Sep 2023 to 31st October 2023.
Through this scheme, 2 lakh eligible beneficiaries are to be targeted over the next 2 years i.e. 1 lakh in FY 2023-24 and 1 lakh in FY 2024-25. Financial Assistance of Rs 2 lakh or 5 lakh will be provided in 2 installments.

Eligibility criteria for Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan
Following are the Criteria, the beneficiaries should Fulfil to apply for this Scheme:
Educational Qualification : For General Category,Minimum qualification required for this scheme is Class 10 Passed and For OBC, SC and ST Category, Applicants should study upto class 10.
Age Limit: Applicant should be above 28 years and below 40 years as on 1st April 2023 (For SC/ST/OBC category, the upper age limit has been lowered to 43 years)
Residentship : Permanent residents of Assam can only avail this scheme.
Skill Qualification : To engage in activities that generate money, the candidate should have the necessary skills, experiences, knowledge, etc.
Loan Defaults : The applicant should not have previously defaulted on any loans obtained from a cooperative or nationalized bank.
Bank Account : The applicants should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31st December 2023.
Government Service : Applicants having Families with government service holders or pensioners are not eligible for this Scheme.
Family : One member per family is only eligible for this scheme.
Income : Applicants falling under the BPL category and low-income Households only can apply for this Scheme.
Employment Exchange : The applicant must be registered in Employment Exchange before April 1,2023.
Financial Assistance Overview
The main goal of the Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan is to empower 2 lakh Eligible Benefeciaries over the course of the next two years. In the fiscal year 2023–2024, the first phase will concentrate on helping 1 lakh people, and the second phase will help another 1 lakh people in the fiscal year 2024–2025. This proactive strategy demonstrates the government’s ongoing dedication to combating unemployment and promoting Assam’s economy.
Financial assistance shall be a combination of Government grant plus interest-free Government loan to be repaid after 5 years to establish micro-enterprise/ service units.
Assistance based on Qualification:
- – Rs 500000 for Degree holders in Professional Courses like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture, etc.
- – Rs 200000 for Post Graduates, Graduates, ITI/Polytechnic, Diploma in Techinal Courses, Class 10 Passed (for Gen) and Up to Class 10 (SC/ST/OBC)
Also, the selected beneficiaries shall undergo 1 Month training in selected Educational/Skill Training insititutions for enchancing entrepreneurship, Management and accounting skills during which an amount of Rs 10000/- only shall be granted as Stipend.

Steps to Apply in this scheme
Before the application deadline, candidates who meet all of the Eligibility criteria outlined above may submit their online applications using the official web portal.
The Applicants can apply Online mode only. Following are the Steps through which you can apply for this Scheme:
- Visit the official website i.e https://cmaaa.assam.gov.in/
- Go to Sign up options on the right corner of the homepage.
- A new User signup Screen will Appear
- Enter the Details like Applicants Name, Email, Number, Password and Captcha and Click on Send OTP
- Enter the OTP and Submit it.
- Now after signing up, The Registration form may automatically appear on Screen and if not Applicants can Login by clicking on the Scheme Registration option. Enter your Registered Mobile Number and Click on Login
- Enter the required details in the Registration Form
- Upload the Required Documents
- Verify the details of your application to make sure they are all correct and then Click on Submit Option.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided after Successful submission.
